Cookies and local storage

1. Principles

Loe.me does not use targeted advertising or advertising trackers. We distinguish storage strictly necessary for the service from measurement tools that require consent (ePrivacy / EU rules; equivalent practices outside the EU).

2. Strictly necessary

• Supabase authentication session (httpOnly cookie) — magic-link sign-in.
• loe_admin_token — administration access when applicable.
• loe.locale / loe.native_locale — UI and native language.
• loe.user.id — local pseudonymous id for progress and events.
• Soft-launch / restricted-access preferences in the browser when applicable.

Basis: legitimate interests / necessity to provide the requested service (no cookie consent required for these essential items).

3. Audience measurement (consent)

• PostHog Cloud (EU region) — usage, errors, session replay. Local key: loe.posthog.consent = granted | denied.
• Legal basis: consent. You may accept, decline, or change your choice at any time on this page or via the banner.
• Optional technical configuration NEXT_PUBLIC_POSTHOG_FORCE=1: enablement for documented internal testing; not standard public use.
